The Boston Guangzhou Association has started anew and moved forward

The Boston Guangzhou Association is one of the long-established grassroots organizations in the Boston area. Since it started early, most members are of an older generation and advanced in age, resulting in the elder members lacking the energy to organize community activities. Given the strong voices and cohesion among the older expatriates, key elder members frequently convened, and on August 15, 2015, Mr. Zhang Fuquan, the former president, gathered elders and active community members at the Imperial Garden Restaurant in Boston to discuss the revitalization and re-launch of the Boston Guangzhou Association. Those present included prominent figures from the Boston Chinese community such as Zhao Yingcai, Zhou Wenxi, and Huang Jingming, along with President Zhang Fuquan and elders such as Zhang Guoshen, Huang Qiling, and Feng Guiqing. The main focus of the discussion was on developing new members and specific actions to increase the board of the association.

A Brief History of the Boston Guangzhou Association

The list goes on and on. In recent years, unfortunately, most of the key members of that time have become advanced in age, and the successor members have not been able to take over in time, which has led to a decline in the activity capacity of our association. Fortunately, the veteran members basically keep meeting regularly every month, keeping an eye on the current situation and greeting each other without interruption.

Recently, Mr. Bai Zhigang and several other energetic, experienced and enthusiastic individuals generously promised to take on heavy responsibilities, boldly innovate and reorganize a new executive team to lead the Guangzhou Association to thrive and achieve new glories!
